The painter Andreas Felger
Wolfram Huke accompanied the painter: on walks, whilst he was working, and as he contemplated art and nature. The painter’s gaze and demeanour bear witness to the fact that this is a visual artist who observes, thinks and speaks, yet says little whilst going about his daily craft. This makes the words captured on the film’s soundtrack all the more profound and focused.
‘To think with one’s hands is the true purpose of humankind.’ (Jean-Luc Godard in: ‘Bildbuch’, 2018). The artist demonstrates this by living part of his life, his humanity and his thinking ‘with his hands’ – a process which ultimately finds its way into language and reveals the artist’s personality.
